Requirements for renting kitesurfing gear

To rent equipment you need to:

  • Hold an IKO Level 3K certificate (or similar)
  • Ride upwind in both directions
  • Retrieve your board while body dragging upwind
  • Launch and land your kite with an assistant
  • Understand and use the international kitesurfing signals
  • Be able to perform a self-rescue
  • Be aware of safety distances
